Acrylic Painting With Brellian

Learn how to paint with acrylics– inspired by nature! We’ll explore different brush types, paint colors, and techniques. You’ll finish the class with a finished painting and a toolbox full of new skills. 

Why acrylic paint? In addition to being incredibly easy to use, acrylics yield some of the most vibrant and versatile results.

This is the perfect medium for creating moody and imaginative paintings with ombré gradients, thick texture, and delicate line work. 

We’ll focus on these tools and techniques:

Paint, brushes, canvases, and other tools:

• Why are they useful and why do professional artists use them?
• How do you use them?
• How do you take care of them?

Paint colors:

• Which colors do professionals use and why?
• How do you mix the colors to get what you want?
• How do I use this knowledge to make my paintings better?

Perspective and composition:

• HOW on earth do you draw or paint using perspective? 
• Why does composition and perspective matter in my paintings?
• What are the rules and how can I break them?

Trees, clouds, water, and the sky:

• How do you paint these things?
• What brushes do you use to get the best results?

In the end, we will be using all of this information to have completed a full painting and the tools to complete future paintings that you love! We aim to complete a new painting every month.
